Positioning

What we are, and what we are not.

We write this down so it stays consistent over time — across our site, our conversations, and the people who may one day inherit this programme.

ASPL Fusion (Agnira Sanlayan Pvt. Ltd.) is an applied plasma and neutron-systems company. We design systems intended to support domestic medical isotope production, accelerator-based BNCT, and industrial neutron applications, within established Indian regulatory and safety frameworks. Our work sits in the near-term portion of a long staged program; fusion-class applications sit at the far end of that program and are not a near-term commercial claim.

What we are

  • An applied plasma and neutron-systems company
  • Focused on near-term, deployable nuclear-adjacent infrastructure for medicine and industry
  • Incubated at AIC Plasmatech, Gandhinagar — approximately 5 km from IPR and ITER-India
  • Working within AERB, CDSCO, and SHANTI Act 2025 frameworks
  • A complement to existing national institutions — not a replacement for them
  • A systems-engineering organisation, built for a long horizon

What we are not

  • A speculative fusion-energy venture
  • A reactor-replacement program
  • A medical-services provider
  • A policy-advocacy group
  • A consumer-facing brand
  • A hype-driven deep-tech startup

Why we publish this

Deep-tech companies drift. Rooms get hot, someone in a meeting uses a word that overshoots what the physics supports, and the next investor deck quietly inherits that word. A year later it is on a website, and a year after that it is in a press interview that no one at the company remembers authorising.

We would like that not to happen to us. Writing it down is the first step.

How we operate in public

A short list, drawn from our internal communication protocols:

  • Written first, spoken second. Any public statement exists in writing before it exists in a conversation. If it cannot be written soberly, it is not said.
  • Ranges, not forecasts. We do not say “we will achieve X by Y.” We say “we are designing for X within Y constraints,” and we cite the constraint.
  • No comparisons to peers. We do not benchmark against fusion-energy companies, national labs, or private reactors. We describe what we do, and leave the reader to compare.
  • Silence is allowed. When there is no validated progress, no new insight, and no institutional milestone, we say nothing.
If you want more detail. Our applications page describes the concrete engineering domains we work on. The national-context page lists the policy frameworks we operate inside. Our insights lay out the problems we care about in longer form. For anything that is not on the site, write to us directly.
